Bride Version-
It was the first day of Junior year and the very first day of art class. Alan had arrived on time to class and found a seat in the back corner of the class room. Mary was running late and all the seats in the room were taken except for two. She decided to sit in the back of the class next to the only person she knew. That seat just happened to be across from Alan's. Without knowing it they both fell head over heals for the other immediately.
One day Sandra convinced Mary to walk home a different way then they normally would. Alan's they were walking down the street Mary spotted Alan in his red Isuzu waiting for his turn to go at the stop sign. After that Mary would always walk with Sandra down that street to catch a glimpse of Alan.
Alan would walk to school since his backyard ended where the high school started. After school Alan and a friend would walk to his house so he could drive him the rest of the way home. When he saw Mary walking down the street he would rush home everyday after that to try and have a chance to see her again and offer her a ride.
Alan got up the courage one day to see if Mary wanted to go to the movies but he had just missed her. Mary's dad, Jack, told him she had just left to see a movie with a friend and gave Alan her phone number. When Mary came home she was shocked and overjoyed that her dad gave Alan her number. After that they talked on the phone and hung out a couple of times.
Mary was curious if Alan liked her or not so she decided to be "clever" and ask all her friends if they liked anyone including Alan. His answer was he liked no one because he didn't want Mary to think that he liked anyone else. Then the friend in art class asked Mary if she liked anyone and she answered yes. Alan started asking her questions to figure out who she liked hoping that it was him.
Alan would ask, "is he in any of your classes?" Mary would answer, "two of them." Alan, "Which two?" Mary, "I'm not telling it would give it away." Mary was afraid to tell Alan to much because she didn't want to get hurt after he just said he did not like anyone at all. Alan asked questions about it every chance he got. After school he called Mary up to ask her some more. Mary answers were always vague so as not to make it obvious that it was him. Finally after 2 days of Alan asking who and Mary avoiding making it obvious she finally broke down.
Alan,"Just give me one more clue." Mary,"look in a mirror." Alan,"what?" Mary,"look in a mirror!" Alan, "what??" Mary,"Look In Alan Mirror!!" Alan, "I don't get it." Mary sighs. "It's you! I like you", Mary says exasperated. Alan was excited and then told Mary that for those two days he was hoping that she would say that is was him that she liked since he really liked her too. Then Alan asked Mary over the phone if she wanted to date him. Her answer was of course yes.
